Wander around Prague Jewish Quarter

The history of the small yet important part of Prague called Josefov has not been really easy, to put it midly. The area over the centuries experienced some horrible events about which you can learn about on your tour. The origins of the Jewish Quarter can be traced to the 10th century. It underwent many changes, destructions and rebuilts. As one would wonder, the "Jewish Ghetto" was not destroyed during the WWII since Hitler belived the area should be kept as "Museum of an Extinct Race".

Spanish Synagogue & Maisel Synagogue

Both Spanish Synagogue and Maisel Synagogue are part of the well preserved Prague Jewish Museum which resides in the Jewish Quarter and includes visits to six synagogues. Explore the district and visit the synagogues during the day and in the evening, you can attend concerts usually with chamber cast and program full of classical music, jazz music or the Jewish music. The concerts are highly rated and popular among Czechs and tourists. Interior of the Spanish Synagogue is breathtaking.

The most attractive things to do in Prague

Visit a classical music concert. Have a cup of coffee in the hidden cozy cafés around Old Town Square. Take a sightseeing cruise on the Vltava river to experience Prague's beauty from different angle. Walk up to the majestic Prague Castle - we recommend an evening tour with almost no tourists around. Explore Prague privately with local guides. See an opera in the National Theatre, the Estates Theatre or the Prague State Opera. Listen to the spooky stories of the Old Town area.
